How does a company apply to list on TOKYO AIM?

Once a company has decided to list on TOKYO AIM the next most important decision it must make is to select a J-Nomad from a list of TOKYO AIM approved J-Nomads to assist it with the listing process:

  • The J-Nomad will work closely with the company applicant, assessing and confirming its suitability for listing on TOKYO AIM. As part of this process, the J-Nomad engages with legal advisers, accountants and other professionals as necessary
  • The prospective applicant, under the advice and guidance of its J-Nomad, prepares a number of documents necessary for the listing application, which provides details about its business activities, financial position and directors
  • If the company plans to raise funds, it needs to work with its advisers to attract potential investors by educating them about the company and the benefits of investing in it
  • The J-Nomad must submit the application documents on behalf of the company, along with a Declaration on Appropriateness for Listing on TOKYO AIM for approval
  • The Exchange will approve admission of the applicant on condition that it meets the qualification requirements and a public announcement is made upon admission
  • After listing, the company must continue to meet all its responsibilities and duties under the Regulations for Companies on an ongoing basis, including retention of a J-Nomad
